my golf swing keeps curving the ball to the right. What can I do to fix it?

dawongstyle asked:

this is for driving the ball with a normal 9 iron. maybe also with a driver.

you’re either using too much right arm power especially if you’re right handed; or you could be leaning back, as in when you come down for impact you tend to lean backwards or to the side, opening the clubface and impacting the ball behind instead of square on.

to fix slices, turn your hips; do NOT use your arm strength as it would cause you to chunk. remember to keep your RIGHT knee BENT at ALL times. this is a power move that transfers your power when you are on your upswing, allowing you to release the tension in your knee when you come down. tiger does it too.

slices are normal, don’t worry about it. you might want to note your stance too; is your stance open or closed? for drivers you might want a bit of a flare with your feet but not too much. it makes you more balanced and wont cause you to lean back as much.
