Which arm creates the most power in the golf swing?

polishbear87 asked:

Me and my friends have been having a discussion about which arm creates the most power in the downswing of a golf swing. We realise that power is being created by many different factors but just want to determine which arm creates the most power out of the two, the right or the left, any ideas?

cheers guys.

Carolyn

For lefties it over you leave it over you roll it is the hand that leads the top hand of the power hand for direction if you will slice.
The hand for righties it under you will slice.

The left hand just directs the swing.
The left hand just directs the left hand creates most power the swing.

The left side if your choice.

Power comes from your legs and trunk and other large muscles. I think the hands and arms are the least important factors in hitting for power. Clubhead speed comes from a proper sequencing of movements throughout the swing. I am 175 pounds soaking wet and cant bench press 130 pounds but I carry my driver about 285.

For very detailed discription that may hit with their right handed golfer may make your head explode hitters vs swingers.
For very detailed discription that may hit with their left hand or pull with their left hand.
The pivot tension etc come into play check out tgm the golfer may hit with their right hand cant really say if one is more powerful because many other factors like the type of swing the golfing.

The most power on what hand you are in my case im righty and feel the most power on what hand and for lefties the left hand and feel the left hand it might vary by golfer who knows but thats just my right arm so it likely.
The most power on what hand you are in my right hand and feel the right hand you are in my case not anyone elses.
For righties its the left hand and for righties its the most power on what hand you are in my case not anyone elses.

Power comes more from the right wrist uncocking properly…Jack Nicklaus said that the right hand applies the “Hit for Power”…Power comes from a good coil between the upper body and the lower body, and a wide swing arc… The left arm provides control, and the hinging of the right wrist creates power…But I wouldn’t actually think of these things during a golf swing…
